#dgcouple: Sandra & Samuel
January 6, 2021
Okay, family, can we please introduce to you Sandra & Samuel, one of our fabulous #dgcouples who utilized us for their bridal & menswear attire! We are so thankful they put their trust in us to make their entire bridal party look good. We had a great time looking through this fun-filled gallery courtesy of Justin Casanova (one of our local favs!)
Real fast: how freaking BEAUTIFUL is this couple?! We loved how timeless & classic they kept their wedding look, all while having a heck of a party. Sandra's show-stopping fitted Essense of Australia gown matched perfectly with Samuel's sleek, fitted black tuxedo. Combined with her cathedral length veil and gorgeous hair accessory, their bridal look is truly perfect.
How freaking stunning is Sandra's dress? This fitted Essense of Australia features a secret sparkle layer for extra drama, a small plunging sweetheart neckline for a touch of sexy, and a full skirt for lots of spice. This is definitely a dress for any bride who wants to WOW their guests, which we are sure Sandra did!
But Sandra's not the only one we got to style! We absolutely loved working with Samuel and his groomsmen. Samuel is one of our favorite #dggrooms because we actually got to do a style change! Samuel rented two suits from us – a black tuxedo for his ceremony and a white jacket for a pop of fashion for his reception!
Congratulations to the Estrada's! We are so thankful you chose Dress Gallery as your bridal boutique. We had an absolute blast styling your party. We wish you both a lifetime of love & happiness!
#dgbride: Karen
January 3, 2021
We're dreaming of a gorgeous, sunny, summer afternoon with this wedding! We are proud to introduce #dgbride Karen, who married her soulmate, Jordan, in a bright and bubbly August 2020 ceremony. Her wedding was organic, airy, and full of laughter – check out some of the photos thanks to Scott Chandler Photography!
Karen was an absolute K N O C K O U T in her pure white Morilee ballgown. You read that correctly – pure white! We rarely have brides choose to go the traditional route of ivory (as it often can read harsh or stark in photos), but Scott Chandler did a phenomenal job of shooting this dress to perfection. Combined with Karen's gorgeous skin tone and this white dress truly pops!
Karen's off-the-shoulder Morilee ballgown featured multiple layers of lace, a hidden layer of glitter tulle, a subtle-yet-sexy off-the-shoulder neckline, and she accessorized with the perfect blingy belt to highlight her waist. She kept her look simple, traditional, and timeless and we think she knocked it out of the park! We love her loose, big curls that accentuate her shoulders and the collar-length necklace is the perfect accessory.
Congratulations, Karen & Jordan! We are so thankful you chose Dress Gallery as a small part of your special day. You were such a joy to work with and we are proud to call you a #dgbride. Cheers to the Watsons!
DG's 2021 Lookbook ft. REAL BRIDES!
January 1, 2021
Alright, y'all, we are hyped about our 2021 lookbook. We always love to collaborate with other local vendors to create content and showcase the gowns we sell in our own way. Using stock photos just doesn't resonate well with us; we want you to see real, authentic love and the timeless outfits they choose to wear during these special moments.
So it hit us – why use models when we could use real DG brides? Not only would they already have beautiful dresses tailored to them, but it's an opportunity to truly represent our gorgeous couples. All of these photos feature real brides and couples who chose Dress Gallery as their bridal boutique. We were so thankful they accepted being in our annual lookbook!
Heads up to our girl, Shelby Laine, for the awesome photos once again and a huge shoutout to Paul Mitchell School and Revolutsia. We partnered with tPaul Mitchell for hair/MUA for the first time and guys – they are our go tos now. They did a great job! And Revolutsia was the perfect unique, local backdrop to highlight. Check out our real couples and schedule your appointment to become a DG bride today!
Remember our girl Danielle?! We jumped at the chance to ask her to wear her fabulous off-the-shoulder Moonlight gown again. We loved how the Paul Mitchell MUAs played with a softly braided, loose curl look to highlight the soft, feminine features of the gown. Add in a cathedral length veil for DRAMA and Danielle is one serious smokeshow!
Re-introducing the Estradas! We absolutely loved having Samuel and Sandra back for our lookbook. Their wedding was totally extra and we were l i v i n g for it. Samuel even changed looks before the reception, allowing for a dramatic costume change to match Sandra's stunning, glittering fit and flare gown. We chose to highlight Samuel's reception look with the stark white and black to compliment Sandra! The love between these two totally radiated throughout the entire day; they are truly made for each other.
Do you guys remember Cara and her fabulous Allure gown?! This is one of our absolute favorite gowns in the store and we couldn't wait to ask Cara to show off her fabulous choice. This off-the-shoulder, full a-line dress features scrolling filligree lace combined with a dainty chantilly underlay, minimal sparkle, and a champagne undertone. This is the ultimate gown for someone wanting to feel like a true princess!
Introducing the Bergkamps! So this is our girl, Autumn, who's a #dgbabe employee – she works our front area during our prom season and we would be LOST without her. When it came to styling her bridal party, she knew she could trust us! We found her a truly unique sleeved Chic Nostalgia gown with bold patterned lace, secret sparkle, and a dramatic keyhole back. We love how they paired it with their funky, Western vibes with Ryan's Stetson! For his look, we chose to highlight her sandy undertone by giving him a tan suit paired with one of our newest, in demand colors – Dusty Coral! We loved this down-to-Earth, slightly rustic vibe of their wedding day look.
Hello to absolute stunner, Miss Tess! Tess chose a super unique sheet lace Kenneth Winston gown to wear for her Oklahoma wedding. She paired it with a custom fringe leather jacket which perfectly fit her bohemian/Western vibes. Her sheath gown perfectly showed off her silhouette, but also allowed her to dance the night away! Finished with a unique arrowhead shape train and we were so excited Tess chose this dress.
Say hello to the Hogans! Leila and Chad were one of our favorite Dress Gallery couples. We paired her lacy high neck Morilee gown with our new mulberry colored suit, accented with maroons and blushes. Her neckline was adorned with crystals and we loved her illusion back full of buttons! The soft a-line was a perfect choice for dancing and enjoying the night. We loved how dapper Chad looked in his glasses; they truly pulled together his textured, vintage look!
Our very first highlighted #dgfamily! Alex and Canyon got married earlier in 2020 and we loved getting to style their entire family. Alex chose a gorgeous ballgown Essense of Australia dress with a ruffle skirt, cascading lace, and a beautiful moscato color. Canyon is a groom who loves to make a statement – he rocked a super cool rose floral jacket for his reception, so we knew we had to give him one of our exclusive print jackets. We paired the gold-and-copper color palette with some of our new colors, including the Sedona worn by Canyon and the Marigold worn by Camden and Max! Our tuxedo rental sizes go as small as 3T in most jackets, so we can style even the littlest of kiddos!
Wrapping up our photoshoot is our girl Jeri! We love Jeri not only because she's the babeliest and drove down from Topeka on a Sunday AM for this photoshoot, but also because she is an Heirloom Couture bride as well – she had a bespoke Ariel-inspired crown made by our consultant, Katie, for her big day! We think it was the perfect accessory for her heavily beaded, super fitted mermaid gown with ruffle bottom and off-the-shoulder accents. Add Jeri's bright, beaming smile and this is the ultimate feel-good look!
Did you fall in love with our brides all over again?! We certainly did. We are so thankful to have the opportunity to style couples for their big day and even more thankful when they allow us to show them off. We feel like proud momma bears every time we get a wedding gallery, so we loved being able to include them in something that's ours since they included us!
We loved working with real brides for our lookbook so much, we might just keep this tradition…..what do you all think?!
Romanticly Moody Aviation Themed Styled Shoot
December 30, 2020
We are so excited to show off some of our favorite images of our newest styled shoot featuring the Kansas Aviation Museum! If you're looking for a unique, alternative place to host your wedding, you should definitely be adding the Kansas Aviation Museum to your list. Their beautiful space lists tons of room for guests (COVID ever allowing, of course), along with access for picturesque areas of the museum perfect for photos and also for guests.
We loved teaming up with KAM to help be a small part of this awesome styled shoot, shot by local photographer Justin Lister (who has been listed as one of our favorites in previous blog posts!) Check out some of our favorite shots featuring models Sarah & Spencer, an actual #dgcouple getting married in April!
For Sarah, we selected a whimsical and bohemian full lace sleeved a-line gown with flowing tulle skirt and keyhole back. Her illusion neckline and banded waist perfectly accentuate her silhouette while still allowing her to dance the night away! For Spencer, we chose one of our newest favorites, a Mulberry suit with mauve accents that matched the moody florals of the day.
Check out these awesome shots complete with vintage planes! Access to the museum is a perk of the venue, which not only acts as a cool backdrop for you, but also a unique experience for your guests. We love the idea of a romantic, intimate shot in the flight traffic tower!
We hope you love these images and are inspired to give KAM a look on your venue search! Are you a KAM bride? Let us know on Facebook and show off your photos!
#dgcouple: Ali & Alex
December 26, 2020
Everyone, put your hands together for a #McNewBeginning! Let us proudly introduce to you Ali & Alex, one of our bodacious couples who recently got married on October 3, 2020. We had an absolute blast styling the entire bridal party for this group; from Ali's breathtaking gown to Alex's sharp suit and everyone in between, we know you'll fall in love as much as we did. Take a peek at these photos courtesy of Sara Reith Photography!
When it came to their wedding day, Ali and Alex kept their color palette light, airy, and bright, which was perfect for their vineyard ceremony. We loved the natural greenery and pops of color throughout the day! Their classic and romantic ceremony is perfectly timeless with these colors and accents.
When it came to finding Ali's gorgeous Essense of Australia gown, she knew she wanted something flowy and romantic, but let her consultant take charge. Her off-the-shoulder neckline perfectly highlights her shoulders & collarbones; we love how she styled her half-up, half-down hair with big curls! Her whole look was perfectly elegant.
When it came to styling Alex & his groomsmen, we wanted a look that was sharp, sophisticated, and fashion-forward. Ali & Alex chose Allure's "Cobalt" suit, which contrasted perfectly against Ali's white dress and the accented red & purple florals! We love how bright and refreshing their group pictures look with the pop of blue.
We also think that partnering with Sara Reith for their wedding photography was a perfect choice. Sara's light & bright editing style perfectly encompasses Ali & Alex's love. Their photos are happy, upbeat, and full of energy – exactly like the group! We think Sara did a great job capturing the true essence of this super-kind couple.
Congratulations, Ali & Alex! We so appreciate you trusting us to style you & your party for such an important day. We loved getting to know you & are so proud to call you a #dgcouple. We wish you both a lifetime of love & happiness!

#dgbride: Morgan B.
December 21, 2020
Okay, guys! Next up from our family of #dgbrides is Morgan! Morgan married her soulmate, Zac, at a gorgeous farm side ceremony in Pennsylvania. We think her gorgeous September wedding was captured beautifully by their photographer, Madeline Isabella!
Madison was married at a gorgeous venue surrounded by corn fields, which was the perfect organic backdrop for their bright and airy photos. Their entire gallery feels whimsical and romantic, from the autumnal florals to their pictures on a rowboat! Check out these gorgeous and unique shots below:
Morgan's perfect Essense of Australia gown fit the vibe of her wedding beautifully. The soft, leafy lace detail adorning the bodice matched her effortless florals and trickled down through the skirt before giving way to a fabulous tulle skirt. We think her moscato-colored undertone was the perfect choice for her hair color and wedding palette!
Her off-the-shoulder neckline kept this dress romantic and timeless. Her gown featured no sparkle, which allowed her natural beauty to be the true focus! We love how organic and natural their entire day looked.
Zac and Morgan also did a traditional feet washing ceremony and the pictures made us tear up. This is an older tradition that we don't often see brides participate in anymore, so we loved seeing this intimate moment. This was a super sweet way for the couple to honor each other which we really love.
Congratulations to Zac and Morgan! We are so thankful you chose Dress Gallery as your bridal boutique; we loved getting to know you and are so thankful the Universe brought you to our door. We wish you both a lifetime of faith, love, and happiness!
#dgcouple: Michaela & Josh
December 17, 2020
We have been anxiously waiting to show you this #dgcouple, Michaela & Josh! We love all of our couples, but the Wests are a couple near & dear to our hearts. We loved being able to help style Michaela, Josh, & their loved ones for their big day. Check out these STUNNING photos courtesy of Rebecca Rose Photography and fall just as in love with this happy-go-lucky couple as we did!
Michaela knew she wanted an autumnal wedding, complete with a dusty color palette and tons of bright florals. Originally, she thought she wanted a bohemian-inspired dress; we tried several head-to-toe lace options that weren't quite right. Eventually, we decided to try something out of left field and picked a gorgeous a-line mikado strapless gown featuring bold lace in the bodice and a simplistic skirt.
Once everyone saw Michaela in the dress, we knew it was The One! We love how she styled her wedding day look by showcasing her gorgeous shoulders & neck with a simple up-do. Her dress was chic & timeless, which ended up fitting perfectly with the airy and bright theme!
Michaela paired her simplistic yet stunning gown with bright, textured florals which were perfect for her autumn ceremony. We loved the dried grasses which added great texture, but also the perfect neutral for all of her decor! Her altar was totally decked out with florals and dried grasses, which made the perfect backdrop!
When it came to styling her bridal party, Michaela knew she was looking for a mix-and-match color palette complete with lots of texture along with rusty oranges. She did a great job creating the color vision she was wanting and then letting her girls pick their own dresses based off the color palette! The end result was a gorgeously effortless look where you can tell everyone felt their best.
Styling Josh, his groomsmen, and important members of the family was also a job we took extra seriously. We wanted the men of the day to look just as good! Josh chose our striking navy blue tuxedo, complete with burnt orange accents and brown shoes, which matched the neutrals of the girls' dresses perfectly. We also love that Michaela bridged the two looks with help of one of her bridesmen – by bringing in navy suspenders for him, he was able to help tie everyone together!
Can we talk about how good this group looks?! SERIOUSLY. And we are loving the natural autumnal backdrop. Michaela & Josh couldn't have asked for a more perfectly timed wedding – just as the leaves are turning and falling!
Michaela and Josh were such a joy to work with. We are so thankful they chose Dress Gallery as their bridal boutique! Not only did your group look real good, (if we do say so ourselves!), but we loved being able to play a small part in your big day. Seeing your photos full of laughter & love brought us all the biggest smiles!
Congratulations to you, Josh & Michaela! We wish you a lifetime of love, happiness, and laughter – something we're certain you will have in abundance. Cheers to the Wests!
A Blast from the Past at this 80s Styled Shoot!
December 12, 2020
OKAY GUYS, so we've been waiting very, very, very patiently to show off this styled shoot we did at the end of summer. The visionaries over at Endless Treasures came up with this super cool, 80's-vibes concept that we jumped at the chance to help out with! We love how laid back, down-to-earth, but totally fun and funky this styled shoot turned out. If you're a bride wanting something totally different or someone planning a super cool vow renewal – we think this would be the perfect inspiration! Thanks a whole bunch to our love the Ashleys over at Kay + Bee for this fab photos – we love you, girls!
Endless Treasures had a great vision in mind when putting together this styled shoot. They wanted a bright, airy day complete with pops of bright, neon colors and 80s accents. When it came to styling Madyson & Lucas, our models, the girls knew exactly what they wanted – something funky for Lucas and a two piece for Madyson!
We knew that our traditional bridal gowns wouldn't create the "wow" impact that Endless Treasures was hoping for, so we created this custom look for them by piecing together a tie-front shirt and a gorgeous royal blue satin romper-skirt! It was actually the bottom of a two piece prom outfit we had! Paired with Madyson's rocker-chic curly mohawk and the artistic details, we are totally heels-over-head for this look.
Styled shoots take a village to pull off and while we're proud to have played a small part with the outfits, there were so. many. vendors. that helped make this vision come to life. We love the tropical florals provided by Revel Gardens and the terrazzo-inspired cake from Stand Tall Bakery! Check the bottom of the post for the full list of vendors.
Can we PLEASE swoon over the super cool cassette tape seating chart and these massive, over-the-top tropical florals?! We also love the cute, repetitive detail of used paintbrushes throughout! We think would be the coolest elopement or quick ceremony for any art lovers! Also, can we talk about the bohemian-cool atmosphere that the tropical-colored fringe creates?! We love a good fringe!
Thank you so much to Botanica for hosting us! Their rainbow bridge was the perfect backdrop to accent our rainbow-inspired day.
When it came to Lucas's look, we kept his ceremony outfit traditional-cool with an all ivory look to offset the amount of color throughout. For his reception look, we swapped the jacket for a funky, color pattern that perfectly accented Madyson's skirt! We love how cool and unique this couple looks together.
Thank you SO MUCH to all the vendors that helped up create this super cool styled shoot! This is definitely one of our favorites one to date. We love the super unique vision the ladies at Endless Treasures had and are so glad they chose us to help. Check out all of the other fabulous vendors listed below with links to their business pages!

#dgbride: Crystal
December 8, 2020
Smokeshow #dgbride Crystal and her husband, Roy, tied the knot at an intimate summer ceremony on August 1, 2020. We cannot handle how absolutely stunning they look in these photos from Brianna Huynh Photography! Take a peek at this super smoking couple below.
Crystal came and shopped with us in June with a wedding date of August 1. Her and Roy knew they wanted a whirlwind engagement ending in a fun, love-filled party to celebrate their marriage; the details would work themselves out. She found herself a group of vendors that were able to pull off her vision quickly with no problems at all!
When it came to her dress, she knew that she wanted a form-fitted, sexy gown with a hint of traditional romance. With a quick wear date, her consultant knew that she wanted to give Crystal the gorgeous gown of her dreams, but wanted to make sure there was more than enough time for alterations as well!
Crystal ended up in a freaking fabulous Maggie Sottero fitted gown featuring a plunging neckline, modern lace appliques, and beaded spagetti straps. The blush undertone looked gorgeous with her skin and fait hair! Combined with her well-structured gown showing off her silhouette and this gown was immediately the winner as soon as she put it on!
Her consultant made sure to pull "quick ship" dresses during the appointment – styles that designers often have in-stock to accomodate fast wear dates. By having her consultant pull those gowns, that eliminated looking through dresses that didn't have the potential to come in time & possibly falling in love with something she couldn't get.
We absolutely love how Crystal styled her gown, Tuscany Lynette, with minimal extras; she let her silhouette do all the talking! By keeping her accessories & hair natural, Crystal looked entirely effortless on her wedding day. We loved these sweet, intimate pictures of her and her mother as they were getting ready!
Thank you so much, Crystal, for trusting us to style you on your wedding day. We loved being able to style you & were so happy to accept the challenge of a quick engagement. We wish you & Roy the absolute best in your life together; here's to many years of laughter and love!
